A Lowland malt made close by the Clyde, at Auchentoshan Distillery. A quarter-century in a bourbon barrel means a forceful drop, further enchanted by its calvados encounter. Light amber in looks. Sweet green fresh fruit and warming spicy scents. Apples and cinnamon to the fore, from a taste. Ends slow and sweet.

The atmosphere of an apple orchard. Verdant fruit, warm vanilla custard. A splinter of oak. Then savour tangy apple, cinnamon, woody notes once more. Rich and creamy. Coats the palate for a protracted farewell.
Sweetness, softness and faintly spiced. Lie back in your apple grove, it’s a lengthy dénouement.

Stretches from coast to coast and covers the rolling terrain of the Scottish Borders, as well as the nation’s two largest cities. This broad region traditionally produces more delicate, ethereal styles of whisky. Less heavy generally, but no less flavourful. Gentler characters. Light, grassy, floral. Citrusy. Some cereal notes.
